One Down Half a Scene to Go

Well, logged 30 pages yesterday. Yeah! I finished the scene and I have 1/2 of the final scene to go, will I make it before tonight? Probabally not, becasue we have guests down from Washington DC. I was able to finish that scene and I feel really good about it. I had to make sure that key points played roles so that future events would happen. After all, they are Envisioners and spend the majority of their time working nights.

Scene

Im in the middle of a scene, Im actually switching between two differnt scenes so I dont get to bored (the last two scenes of the book). I have found I'm more creative if I go ahead and to that. Today, a wave of ideas hit be for book two so I need to make sure I incorportae them into the ending so the second book starts off well. Sometimes when I write, I have a general idea of where I want the scene to go and when I sit down to write, the creative muse flows and ideas come out of nowhere, it's as if unseen hands guide my words. I am pushy with this book, this story must be told, my version of it, there is nothing like it on the market and I want to share my world with others. Thanks to my creative muse who adds all these extra scenes.

Well, its back to work, I had wanted to try and get this manuscript done before I start classes on Jan 3. Between work and school, the book will have to make time becasue I want this so bad I can taste it, not one book, not two books or even three but dozens of them. I want to be good at my craft and bring worlds to people so that they can enjoy and imagine, after all isnt that what fantasy is? Read. Enjoy. But most importantly imagine the possibilities of my world!

Final Scene

Well, I started the final scene last night, Im working between 2 scenes so that I dont get bored. I have the vision of them both in my head and am working quite hard to put that vision onto paper. Last night I wrote about 7 pages and was quite happy where the scene was headed, lets see if today I can yield more pages. Im over the 400 page count at the moment and the word count is around 100,000.

Merry Christmas

The ham is warming up, the sweet potatoes are cooking, the regular potatoes are boiling, the pies are in the oven.....christmas dinner. Merry Christmas!!!

Im going to try and work on the book today, I had a few dreams the other night that I think I will incorporate into the book. Im so close to being done.

Christmas Eve

Tonight is christmas eve, wow, time has flown by and this year it sprang up on me so quickly. Ive been ready, finished all my shopping on Monday, wrapped everything the same day. The neighbors have been cool and have given us lots of cookies, candy, goodies. Neighbors are a nice thing to have, if you get along with them. All of our neighbors are pretty cool and we all get along. We have a big party planned for next weekend, all I will say is that it involves alot of drinking and playing games. Ive been fixated on martini's lately, especially cosmo's, appletini's and chocolate tini's. YUM. My grandma drinks the martini's with gin and tonic water and I dont like those at all, but the others I find quite tasty.

The end is in sight...

I can see the end.....not so far away. My goal is to try and finish by Jan 1, so i can really celebrate new years eve that I finished the book. So, to accomplish this goal, I need to work next week. I need to get up at 8am and get to work writing, with no disturbances till noon, take a break and get back to work till 5 or so. I am going to make myself do this. I want it badly and when us humans want something badly enough, we work for it.

Christmas will be here this weekend and the best present I can give myself is to finish this book. Im sooooo excited about it, I want to share my world with others. I want them to crave it and be as involved as I am.

Happy Solstice

Tonight is the longest night of the year, the first day of winter. Traditionally, a gift is given on the solstice. I personally, like to celebrate it and Christmas or Yule, depending on the person's beliefs. I will say this, with tonight being the longest night of the year, I just want to curl up in front of a fire and read.

This new comming year will be a busy one for me. I am going back to graduate school to earn my PhD in Psychology in January. I also am hoping to teach some online classes and with teaching college psychology, I need to get the book done so I start sending it out and start on book two.

Im working on one of the last two scenes and I have found my vision on it. I know where everything is going, its just a matter of getting there. Im hoping to work on it tonight. Im at approx. 100, 000 words or 400 pages.

Shame

It is a shame I havent written in here lately. I feel bad abouth that but all I can say is this...alot has been going on. I have made the important decision to go back to graduate school and earn my PhD in Psychology. What does that mean? Simply this, that Ill be really bust with work, school, and finishing the book. I pray I get a book deal and that the book turns out to be a good one. I dont want to just find an agent, I want a book deal, to be a bestseller, to dedicate myself to my writing so that I earn awards and perfect my craft.

Im working on the last of 2 scenes, Ill be done soon, God willing.
