Teaching Psychology

Ive been working at Tidewater Tech for a month now and love it. I am teaching 4 college level classes: Psychology, Human Relations, Critical Thinking, and Career Development. I really love teaching students at this level and I make an attempt to relate the matieral to everyday life and especially to the program that they are in. For example if they are in the Business degree program, I relate the material to business and management.

After class today I had 2 students come up to me and thank me. They said that they wished that all of their instructors were like me. I was told that by relating information to topics they could understand helped them tremdensously. Those comments mad me feel good. Im glad that I can help them.

Well, its time to pry open my closed mind and write a few pages before I go to my evening job. Ill probabally be subbing for the evening professor this fall and I will enjoy that!

Summer Solstice

Yesterday was Midsummers Eve, the longest day of the year, so to all of you out there Happy Summmer Solstice. Rumors in Scotland and Ireland say that on midsummers eve you have access to the fairy world more than any other day of the year. Do I believe in Faery or Fairy? Well the question is do you believe in fairy? There are many things that exist without us always being able to see them.

Tonight is a full moon...if your into magic its a good night to preform your rituals....esp with the solstice being so close. Stonehenge is considered to possibly be a sun dial for the summer solstice. What do you think? Its all relative in the big scheme of things.

So what I want to say is this....Happy Midsummers Eve/Summer Solstice and may your harvests...whatever they may be be plentiful and successful.
