Hurt

My left knee has been sore for a few months, but Tuesday, I found myself in terrible pain. We had taken a visitor to Colonial Williamsburg after work and as I walked down the beautiful historic streets in the 90 plus degree weather, my knee gave out on me. I truly dont know what happened except that I took a step, heard a loud crack and then next thing I knew a terrible sharp pain prevented me from walking on that leg any more. A few people I didnt know walked over to me and inquired if I was alright. I was in pain, but I was determined not to let it stop me, after all, I was across from a paddock with horses and my goal was to cross the cobblestone street and pet the horses. Sigh. How I love my horses. Nothing and I mean nothing will prevent me touching a horse or being near one, not even a bum knee. So what did I do? I hobbled across the street, biting my lip in pain, but I made it to the horses. YEAH!

Well, the doc today is sending me for an MRI next week of my knee. He thinks I may have damaged some my the ligaments or tendials on the medial side I think he said. So, well see what the MRI reveals and I pray to God that I dont need knee surgery, that would truly suck. I want my knee better though, and if I have to have knee surgery, then so be it. I will not let it stop me.
