My First Fan?

After a wonderful massage this morning, I made my way to Borders Book Store to pick up the 2006 Writers Market. I walked to the customer service desk becasue I couldnt remember where they kept the writers guide. I was greeted by a someone who asked me if I was the writer with the website. I asked website? He told me that I looked familiar and asked me how my book was going. I told him that I had just finished the edits and was now looking for an agent. He liked my website, he liked my stuff! Im excited that when I head to both the local Borders and Barns and Noble Book stores that people recognize me and remember my work...that means alot to me! I was so excited this morning and when people recognize my writing or recognize me, I am thrilled!

I can't wait for the day when I'm sitting at one of the big bookstores doing a book signing and there is a crowd or line of people waiting for me! That will be exciting to me, to know that my work is appreciated and loved! Knowing that my characters mean something to someone else besides me is so flattering to me!

Well, time for me to leave, I have some research to do today and need to get started. Yes, I finished the first round of edits last night. I actually fell asleep with my manuscript, which I was reading like it was a book. I wanted to transport myself into my world, into the world of the Envisioners. I dreamed of someone accepting my book and presenting to me the cover art! I can't wait for that day to happen!
