Young Children

For anyone who has taken care of young children, you know how tiring it can be. I just returned from Nebraska, where I watched my two little neices, Scotlyn (4yo) and Avery (2yo). The trip was nice and I loved to see the girls, but they pooped me out! The good news is that I was able to do ALOT of writing and got some good scenes completed!!!

Writing

I have been reading one of my favorite authors new releases. She is a wonderful author but I am disappointed in this book. This book is a book in a series and something just doesnt seem right with it. Maybe its just me, manybe not, but I keep putting the book down....that is a bad sign for me. If Im really into a book, Ill have read it quickly and will not put it down.

I hope my stories dont bore people.

Memories

I'm listening to old music video's and it brings back soooooo many memories. One is Aerosmith and Run DMC's Wak This Way. I remember being at a horse show, yes, I was riding in the horse show and must have been 13 or 14 years old. Horses were more important than boys to me back then. I was with a good freind of mine, Sam, she and her family actually owned the horses and I helped them out and trained with them, showed their horses. Anyway, we were between classes and this song came on....on a BOOMBOX.... remember those? WE danced in the aisles between the stalls, in our breeches, boots and riding coats, at the state show facility. Before I knew, 10 of us riders were dancing to the song.

My point is simply this, memories are triggerd by almost anything and they keep us human. If we didnt have memories, dreams, ideas, conscienceness then we wouldnt be who we are. They help form our personalities and life expereinces...and in my case they do add to my writing.

Last Night I wrote with fury....fury as in intensitivity. I had so many ideas that I had to get out that at first it went slow. I bought a new CD.....The Punisher soundtrack and that helped me to get going. That is a wonderful CD by the way, I highly recommend it. Anyway, after 45 mins of dancing....yes dancing to old music, I finally sat down to write and wrote till the wee hours of the morning.

The scene is complete......now the next one begins.....a group scene, a fight scene. I fishined a magic scene last night. I have to warn you that Sydeny does have an attitude but then again dont we all?

Dreams and Ideas....a corelation?

Do dreams provide us with imperative information and provide us glimpses and hints of what we should do during our waking hours? I believe dreams do just that. Actually, I'm convinced dreams provide us with so much information. Now, I'm sure that a lot of people disagree with me and will say that dreams are just that, dreams. I have had too many dreams come true to NOT believe that our dreams and dreaming state of consciousness is a message system. Messages from where you may ask? You can be the judge of that and its all relative according to your own spiritual belief system.

I've been working on a scene the past few days in which I acquired the initial idea through a dream. The dream was so real and I could feel myself in the graveyard. In my dream, I ran my hand over a head stone and could feel the cool smoothness of the marble. I traced with my fingers the dates and names on the stone. The dream was just as real as any awake state. Not everyone remembers their dreams and not everyone dreams in color, guess I'm the lucky one, or unlucky as some may believe. In any event, I treasure my dreams because they are quite interesting and entertaining and create the world in which I write and you will read.

Pope Dies

Im not Catholic, but I feel for the Catholic community with the death of the Pope. I hope his passing was peaceful and painfree. I have been dreaming of his death for the past month, but noone believed me when I told my family and friends. One word.....interesting.

It has been another rainy day here. I hate it when on rains on the weekends! I spent the day reading, finished a book, started a new book, researched for my books, and watched old MTV video's. Tonight is the night of the time change so we all lose an hour of sleep. Spring ahead and fall back. Words to live by, literally!

Friday, I had a major revelation on the book. The revelation is a mystery twist. I had a dream about it and the characters talked to me, so if you wonder where I get ideas, the answer is via dreams. I also walked into Barnes and Noble and aske when the writers group was. Ive been bad and havent been in months and I thought it would be a positive thing for me to go back. Critiquing is always good....good or bad it helps a writer. I was surprised when I walked in and they remembered me and they remembered my BOOK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You God Girl!
